Term of Agreement

Counts

Final counts are due seven (7) days prior to your event. The Forestview must be notified of the number of guests expected to attend your function. The final count is the guaranteed minimum that will be charged regardless of attendance. If your attendance is greater, you are responsible for the total number attended are served. All events require a minimum of 25 guests and billing will reflect that base.

Deposits

Bookings require the following deposits to secure your specific date and time of your event - Up to 50 guests - $100, Up to 100 guests - $200, Over 100 guests - $300. Rooms are not considered booked until a deposit is received.

Pricing

All menu pricing (including written or quoted) is guaranteed for current year. When planning a long term event, we reserve the right to increase pricing to current years prices, due to increase in food and labor prices. All events are subject to an 18% administration of the banquet and is not purported to be a gratuity and will not be distributed as gratuities to employees. The Forestview does not charge a gratuity or service charge for its events. The charge is based on the total cost of the event, including additional event services, and is subjected to state sales tax, which in New York State is currently 8.75%.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation, deposits are non-refundable

Payment

Final payment must be made in full prior to the day of your function. All payments are to be made in cash or check. If paying by check, payments are to be made one week prior to event. For tax exempt organizations, Tax exempt certificates must be handed in prior to the day of the event. Payments must be made with a check that matches the name of the tax exempt organization. Credit cards payments will have an additional 3% processor fee on total bill.

General Rules and Policies

  1. The forest reserves the right to control and inspect all private functions. There can be no food or beverage brought into The Forestview for consumption on premises (with exceptions of cakes, wedding or party cakes, cookies or specific pastries) without authorization by Forestview Management. No alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought into the banquet room from outside sources.
  2. Bar packages do not include serving of alcohol shots. We do not serve shots in the banquet room and we reserve the right to refuse alcohol to anyone for the safety of all guests.
  3. All Vendor (DJ, bakers, florists) set up and deliveries must be made the day of the event. All items must be removed the night of the event. Any favors or gifts must be brought in the day of the event with specific handwritten instructions. Forestview is not responsible for lost, stolen or mesplaced items.
  4. The host of the event must obtain management approval for any decorations, table centerpieces, etc... No confetti, bubbles, or rice are allowed. Host may have access to banquet room 1-2 hours prior to the event to place favors, gifts, etc.
  5. Vendors such as bands, music, or DJ must end at the same time as your bar. If you extend your bar, you must extend your music. Forestview reserves the right to control music volume. If you extend your bar, it is based on the total number of guests, not how many guests are remaining.
  6. Specific entrees selected by guests must be provided in a seating chart to ensure proper service.
  7. Afternoon and morning functions have the use of the room until 3:00 pm.
  8. We reserve the right to alter or substitute rooms in the event that the total number of guests drops considerably below the original estimate.
  9. There is a room rental fee of $325 if not ordering any food or drinks. If a custom menu is designated there is a minimum room expenditure of $325 required.
